How ASP.Net Made Me Bored
August 15th, 2007 | by David C |I’ve never really quite understood why ASP.NET is so popular with college students. Having a little background in C# and VB.NET back in my polytechnic days, I never really liked creating web applications with Microsoft’s technologies.
Thinking that much has changed, I’ve attended my first ASP.NET workshop organized by the School of Information Systems, Singapore Management University. The lecturers were great, trying to inject a little bit of fun into the class, but for some reason, I just can’t seem to get interested with the language.
Maybe its the whole drag and drop style of Visual Studio Express, or maybe its because of the dumbed down syntaxes of VB.net.
I’m supposed to attend the last day of my ASP.NET workshop tomorrow, but I doubt I’ll be going. I think I’d rather stay at home and master Java instead.
