881
August 20th, 2007 | by David C |Royston Tan’s latest feature film, 881, is really excellent. I highly recommend those who haven’t watched it yet, to take sometime off to catch it.
881 is so refreshingly different from Jack Neo’s in-your-face social commentary. The music direction of 881 is really pretty good. From the music arrangements to the choice of “getai” music. Ngak Ng’s track on the OST, “Black May”, is probably the best track in the film.
Props to Ngak, who’s a regular in the local liveband scene at both Timbre and Wala Wala.
