End of Semester, World of Friends.
November 17th, 2007 | by David C |Finally, after a long gruelling 13 weeks, the end of the first semester in SMU is finally here. Although I still have two more finals two weeks from now, its great to be able to take a breather for a while.
I’m actually quite amazed at the amount of schoolwork I’ve managed to get done during the past 13 weeks. 2 Individual Projects, 1 Major Community Service Project, 3 Programming Assignments, 3 Research Papers, 2 Full-page reports. A total of 11 projects in a span of 13 weeks. Easily more than what I’ve done in a year in polytechnic.
To end the whole semester up, me and a couple of good friends went back to Timbre last night just to chill and celebrate. Its pretty amazing to see The Goodfellas, the liveband last night actually have to juggle two gigs in one night. Last night coincidently was also SMU’s Starry Starry Night, a mini-concert organized by the Student Association, held at the Big Steps, and before me and my friends left for Timbre, we were watching them perform in school.
And we left for Timbre just as they left their gig at the school and what a surprise to see them playing at Timbre. Don’t they ever rest? The last time I was at timbre, I was watching EIC perform but unfortunately they disappointed me with their lackluster performance, but The Goodfellas, rocked last night with great chillout music.
All in all, it was awesome to finally sit down and find time to enjoy a good beer and pizza with good friends and good music. We really need to do this more often. Wala Wala anyone?
